A classic, deeply smoked black tea from China. Brewed hot, our Lapsang Souchong has a strong aroma of pine smoke, backed up with a characteristically sweet (slightly fruity) and woodsy flavor.
This tea also cold-brews fabulously: use a heaping tablespoon of leaf for every quart of spring (or filtered) water, and let steep in the refrigerator overnight. The resulting cold beverage keeps the smoky aroma and enhances the natural sweetness of this tea.
